Policies for parents

How PeritiaQuestix works — the short version.

These are the standing policies for families enrolled at PeritiaQuestix Tutoring. They cover booking, payment, attendance, online-class etiquette, and what to do when things change. Questions? Email [email protected].

1. Booking & consultations

  • Every new family starts with a 45-minute trial session: a 30-minute class with the student plus a 15-minute consultation with the parents.
  • Trial price: $45. Pay once at the time of booking.
  • Returning students get priority on timing and availability when scheduling each new 4-week session.

2. Rates & payment terms

  • Standard rate: $20/hour. Plans are billed in 4-week sessions, paid in full before the session starts.
  • Class extensions: any 1-hour class can be extended to 1.5 hours for an additional $10. Extension requests must be made at least 6 hours before the class. Tutors may decline.
  • Pricing tiers (Starter / Growth / Accelerator) are listed on the home page.

3. Attendance & punctuality

  • Late arrival grace period: up to 20 minutes. After that, the class is treated as missed; it isn't refunded or rescheduled.
  • Missed minutes within a class aren't refunded. Example: if a student joins 15 minutes late, the missed 15 minutes are not credited.

4. Cancellations & refunds

  • Early cancellation (3+ hours before class): you'll receive class credit, which carries over to the next 4-week session if unused.
  • Late cancellation (less than 3 hours before class): the class fee is forfeited; no refund or credit will be issued.
  • Refund window: if you change your mind, sessions are fully refundable before the first class of the session. Once a session has begun and is paid for, refunds aren't available.
  • If something extenuating comes up — illness, family emergency — reach out. We work with families.

5. Online learning requirements

  • Video camera ON for the entire class.
  • No muting unless the tutor explicitly asks.
  • Screen sharing on so the tutor can monitor the student's work and progress in real time.
  • Online classes meet on Google Meet. We'll send the link with the trial-class confirmation.

6. Academic structure & progression

  • Curriculum is progress-based: each session is dynamically structured around what your child needs next, not a fixed week-by-week plan.
  • Level advancement: students advance to the next academic level after scoring 85% or higher on a post-test evaluation.

7. Communication & tutor assignment

  • Each student is formally assigned a dedicated tutor. We'll introduce you by name after the trial.
  • All official communication — scheduling, progress, questions — runs through the parent's email and [email protected]. Tutors don't email students directly.

8. Class recordings

  • Online and in-person classes are recorded for quality assurance, student safety, and progress tracking.
  • Recordings are stored securely, accessible only to the assigned tutor and the PeritiaQuestix operations team, and retained for 90 days unless a parent requests longer retention.
  • If you have specific concerns about recording practice, email [email protected] and we'll walk you through how it works.
